Dear Cerebral Soup,
Can perfectly understand your distaste for the year. Some small consolation might be the news that your blog is recommended in a new book on Japan.
Called Extremes: Contradictions in Contemporary Japan, the book is written by a chap called G M Thomas.
It says that your blog is one of the better ones and that the good ones “offer a readable insight into life society and culture from a variety of perspectives.”
I bought the book on amazon.co.uk where it is listed on their ‘hot-picks’ for Japan and is in their top ten.
Also found that is available on amazon.co.jp
Hope 2005 is significantly better for you.
Thanks for the heads up on that Charlie
