A little on a tangent here, but last night, Friday, on the just before midnite trains, it was soooooo packed, like, dangerously packed, with people on their way home from Bonenkai, dinner, parties, whatever. I made a dive from my favourite place, the little passage between the doors, but i was quickly caught up on a wave an *pushed* in there whether i wanted to go or not! I stopped when i met the wave from the opposite direction and within seconds, that usually somewhat spacious and cool spot was jam packed with bodies. There were a few times i was so pressed upon i couldnt expand my lungs to breathe… Anyone else think there should be more trains in the holiday season evenings?
“Amen!” to J-ster’s comment. I fully agree they should do something about the trains during the Bonenkai season.
I would advise all to avoid riding the Ginza line from Akasaka-Mistuke if you can help it.
And i am sick of side-stepping puke, drunk and loud ‘oyajis’, and having to breathe the alcohol stenched, hot air of the jam-packed trains.
Tried to avoid working late, but with the ‘nen-matsu nen-shi’year end closing and stuff, its a hopeless situation. *Argh!!* One more week and i shall be out of Tokyo. Poorer but happier.
) *Gaman, gaman!*
